On Saturday, November 12 at 7:00pm, entertainers from all over Tybee and surrounding areas will be taking the stage of the Tybee Post Theater for the 2nd Annual “Tybee’s Got Talent” presented by the Theater and the Tybee Arts Association.

For the first time ever, these two organizations are working together to raise funds for the restoration and renovations of both Tybee Island venues.

Whether you sing, dance, tell jokes or juggle, this is a contest for everyone! A panel of esteemed judges will choose the winner of the top prize – $300 in cash!

Contest entrance fee is $20. General admission is $10, at the door.

We will also be holding a special Thanksgiving food drive for Tybee’s Rising Tyde Community Food Pantry! Bring a canned ham or other non-perishable item to the show and receive a FREE Tybee Post Theater Koozie!

This is the perfect event to bring the whole family, meet others and create memories. We offer great incentives for fundraising and all proceeds benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Stride with others who are just as passionate about finding a cure for pancreatic cancer.

It’s time for the Floating Christmas Parade! Join the team at the Crab Shack beginning at 6:00pm to prepare for the lit festive boat launch at 7:15pm. Boats will return around 8:15pm. High tide is set for 7:46pm and floating time will be perfect. Awards will be presented once they return.

Available and quite amazing island homes will be decked out for the holidays for you. You will see why Islanders call Tybee home! A map of the homes to view will be available at the Tybee Visitor Center beginning Friday, December 1.

Everyone loves a parade especially during the holidays! The parade starts at 14th Street parking lot and travels up Tybrisa to Butler Avenue then to the Tybee Gym where children will have photo time with Santa! The Tybee YMCA will have surprises for all to enjoy at the gym. 1pm – 3pm

Walk or ride throughout the Main Corridor during this year’s Holiday Shop-n-Stroll. Two days of pure shopping and dining delight! Saturday evening will be the “Treasure Hunt” drawing for prizes. Maps and tally sheets can be obtained at participating locations. Participating locations will be announced. The listed businesses will have specials all weekend long, so be sure to stop in for your Holiday Delight!

The annual tree lighting celebration at the Tybrisa/ Strand Roundabout. Come down front for musical performances and entertainment while you enjoy strolling and shopping.

The newly opened Tybee Wedding Chapel provides the atmosphere as Haviland Stillwell and Steven Jamail perform a one-­time-­only event with Haviland’s beautiful voice that is accompanied by Steven, an award-­winning pianist.
